Carolina Wood Fence Company (aka CWF) began in Mint Hill, NC in 1980. Mike Spath and wife Sue started the company as a way to earn extra money for their family. Mike has carried on the tradition of the quality oriented company since then with the help of son Brent and son-in-law Scott.

In December of 2012, CWF was contacted by Bryan Bunn, an American Legion Baseball Coach, to quote a home run wall at Independence High School. Mike and Brent, who attended school in Mint Hill, visited the site with Independence High School Baseball Coach Cooke.

Having had ties to the area, there was no hesitation in coming forth with a very competitive price. Mike worked hard to get as much donated to the project as possible. Home Depot and Lowes donated the concrete for the posts.

The fence line was 800 feet long and 8 feet high. It was completed in four days and was hailed as amazing by all who have seen it.

The crew of CWF is proud to be a part of the “INDY WALL” at Independence High School in Mint Hill, NC.
